Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Cornerstone Orinda Concrete, orindaconcrete.com, hi@orindaconcrete.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Cornerstone Orinda Concrete website and any estimate, conversation or work you arrange with us through it. By using the site or asking us for a quote, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

When we do a job for you, the written estimate or contract you sign for that job also applies. If it says something different from this page, the signed document wins for that job.

What we do

We're a concrete contractor in Orinda, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, retaining walls, slabs, footings and foundations for homes in Orinda and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page and browse our services from the home page.

The service descriptions on this site are general. They explain how this kind of work usually goes. They aren't a promise about your job. Your own scope, materials and schedule are set in your written estimate.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, on site and obligation-free. We price your job after we've seen it, because slope, access, the soil under the old slab and what has to come out all change the work.

An estimate covers the work it describes, at the time we write it. Some things only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is dug, such as soft soil, buried roots or old footings. If we find something like that, we'll stop and talk with you before doing extra work. We won't charge for added work unless you've agreed to it.

Any price figures or examples on this website are general information and aren't an offer. Your price is the one in your written estimate.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date and an expected length for the job, and we work hard to keep both. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour if rain or heat would hurt the finish or strength of your slab. We'll tell you as soon as we know.

Curing, the wait while new concrete hardens before you use it, is part of the schedule. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and drive on your new slab, and following that timing is your responsibility once we've left.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (925) 257-6590 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials or done work for your job, you may owe for those costs as your written contract describes. Any cancellation rights the law gives you still apply.

Payment

Your written contract sets out how much is due, when it's due and how you can pay. Please pay each amount by the date it lists.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. We'll always talk with you first, because most payment problems get sorted out with a phone call.

Our work and what it covers

We're licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty for your job will be in your contract, and its terms are the ones that apply.

Concrete is a natural material, and some things about it are normal. Fine hairline cracks can show up even on a well-built slab, which is why we cut control joints, the straight grooves that give cracks a planned place to form. Color and texture can vary from section to section, especially on stamped and decorative work, and new concrete won't exactly match old concrete next to it.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, tree roots, ground movement, flooding, deicing salts, or use before curing is done. It also doesn't cover work done by someone else, or problems from drainage or grading we weren't hired to change.

Apart from what your written contract and the law provide, this website and its information are offered as they are, with no other promises of any kind.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Cornerstone Orinda Concrete isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses from using this website or from our work, such as lost time, lost use of your property or lost income. For any job, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under California law that can't be limited by agreement.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with anything, please call us first. Most problems are easiest to fix when we can come out and look at them together, and we'll do our best to make it right.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to a court with authority to hear it in Contra Costa County, California, unless your written contract says something else.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here when you use the site or request a quote is the one that applies. Changes won't alter a contract you've already signed with us.
